It’s no secret that there’s probably some pretty gross stuff hanging around near the toilet, and the carpet is going to latch onto that gunk and keep it there. The same goes for the area around the sink or trash can. You may choose to lay mats around these areas like you might have used to prevent stains, but this is definitely a major con.
